CHARACTER NAME: Vlad Dracula, AKA "D"
CHARACTER SERIES: Vampire: the Masquerade

PERMISSIONS

[OOC]
Backtagging: Always OK
Threadhopping: Generally OK; ask if not sure
Fourthwalling: Actually he doesn't like this at all. As a player I don't mind, but he really dislikes the Stoker novel and all the kitschy vampire culture that has grown up around it.
Offensive subjects (elaborate): Rape, child molestation. Dracula himself isn't exactly enlightened on a few fronts: men probably shouldn't flirt with him, he's still not entirely comfortable around Muslims and he has no real remorse when it comes to his brutal form of justice.

[IC]
Hugging this character: He's from a pretty demonstrative culture, so he'll generally be OK with it if he knows and likes the character.
Kissing this character: Same as hugging, but he's a strictly woman-only guy. Men trying to push a kiss on him will meet with a rapidly escalating violent reaction. (This is as much from trauma as from upbringing.)
Flirting with this character: He loves female attention and can fairly easily be distracted by it. Anyone else who flirts with him will be coldly dismissed.
Fighting with this character: BRING IT ON. He loves combat as much as Emil Blonsky and will happily throw down against almost any challenger. Maiming and killing are opt-in, of course. If he is impressed enough by a character's combat prowess and the fight ends nonlethally, this is actually a good way to befriend him.
Injuring this character: Sure, whatever. It'll grow back.
Killing this character: This is really difficult to do, but if the scene is headed that way, talk to me OOC and I'll usually be fine with it.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Surface thoughts and emotions are always OK. Please contact me about digging into his memories, revealing his identity, making alterations, or any attempt at influencing his (very strong) will.

Warnings: Dracula is vengeful against those who threaten his protectorate, offend him or repel him with their behavior (generally extreme lawbreakers or the exploitive rich) and will use everything from hypnosis, to torture, to armies of rats, to get his point across. Therefore combat, body horror, mind control, bloody vengeance of various kinds and totalitarian rule are common subjects in RP with him. Needless to say, anything really nasty will be opt-in only, but interactions with him can still get pretty skin-crawly if the wrong topic comes up.

HMD

Dracula's a pretty complex character, and though I have played him for several years, I'm not perfect, and like every rper I have my off days. If something I have him do raises questions for you, please feel free to ask them here. Comments, fan links and plot ideas are all welcome as well. Anon is enabled.
selfmadevampire: (busy)
The night was brutally hot, even inside the hospital. Humans sweated all around him, walking around in little moist clouds of body odor. Lazslo Florescu made his way down the hall of the ward purposefully, his black leather jacket and unkempt shoulder-length hair putting him in sharp contrast to the hospital workers around him.

A woman lay in a coma, having been shot in the head at her own wedding. Lazslo would have found this a tragic footnote had he not walked in on the scene as the corpses were cooling. He managed to salvage the man he had come for, even with a bullet in his head. But when Rufus told him the woman's story, he had determined to find her. He wasn't the kindest of men, but his sense of justice was deeply troubled by this.

It took him months to find her, and he could only fully verify it by comparing her scent to the blood-crusted blond strands he had gathered at the scene. Now, he was following his nose down the hall, drawing nearer to the source.

He found her room, but paused, watching a beefy orderly talking in low tones with another man. He sharpened his hearing...and his eyes narrowed. Apparently this orderly had a...use...for comatose women on his watch. Well. He had a use for useless men such as these.

No one saw him slip into the room with the stranger. There was a faint thud as he palmed the man's head and slammed it into the wall. Then he was standing over the woman, who had the drawn look of someone who had been in a hospital bed for far too long. He looked over to her IV and calmly went to a supply drawer, withdrawing a syringe. He drew some blood from his own wrist, then calmly injected it into her IV. The red liquid thinned a little in the saline, then slid down the tube and into her arm.

The substance started to heal her, exhausted cells recovering, tissues expelling toxins, muscles slowly unstiffening. It felt cold, though, cold enough to wake her up after a few moments. By then he had calmly stepped back into the shadows, giving her a moment to recover herself before dealing with him.
